Meet Dr. Saeid Motamedi
Periodontist
Dr. Saeid Motamedi has practiced periodontics for more than 25 years. Throughout that time, he has found that building long-lasting relationships with his patients is one of the most fulfilling aspects of his work. Dr. Motamedi appreciates the opportunity to restore his patients’ teeth, alleviate their pain, and give them confidence in their smiles again. He finds it extremely rewarding to be able to educate his patients on periodontal disease and oral health, and see everyone return for their next appointment with healthy teeth and gums.
Dr. Motamedi attended Georgetown University for three years of college before transferring to Case Western Reserve University to obtain his Bachelor of Science in 1987. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Case Western in 1989, served a surgical residency in periodontology and implantology, and received his Master of Science in dentistry in 1992.
Dr. Motamedi attends numerous continuing education courses offered by local and national clinicians and institutions, including the American Academy of Periodontology, Geistlich® Biomaterials, and Zimmer Biomet Dental implants. His continual learning keeps him updated on the latest technological innovations and techniques to attain improved treatment outcomes and provide optimal care for his patients. Dr. Motamedi grew up in Bethesda, Maryland, and has lived in Fairfax for 21 years. He and his wife of 26 years have two daughters who are both pursuing medical professions: Vida attended the University of Virginia and Leila is at the University of Miami. He also has a Bichon Frise dog.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Motamedi enjoys being healthy and active. His favorite pastimes include going to the gym, hiking, skiing, soccer, and spending time with his family.
